To develop strategic partnerships with corporate and community partners to better serve our residents “The CDC will adopt the “many helping hands” approach to achieving community bonding, and strengthen sense of ownership by focusing on the synergy of people, public and private (3Ps) sectors to enlarge the pool of resources available in the community”. The CDC are COMMITTED to engage residents and the community. In order to do this effectively, TEAMWORK and synergy among our stakeholders and partners is essential. The CDC projects and programmes that promote strategic partnerships are: (i) Corporate Partner Scheme - forging “win-win” partnerships with private corporations and fostering a sense of community ownership through the involvement in outreach programmes and social services schemes/programmes. Back to top (ii) Community Partnership - effective partnerships with community and public organisations to leverage on each other's strength and resources. Close ties with GROs, schools, VWOs and government agencies are forged to initiate and organise programmes that benefit the community. Back to top (iii) ComCare Local Networks - a formal network of social service agencies by respective CDC to enhance inter-agency collaboration so as to maximize resources to meet localized needs. These local networks will also identify and address social service gaps in the community, as well as improve referral process among social service agencies so that no needy residents will fall out of the referral loop. Back to top (iv) District Meeting - an annual meeting to engage and gather feedback/ideas from community stakeholders such as Advisers, council members and representatives from community and corporate partners, school, grassroots organisations, welfare organisations and relevant government agencies to better serve the community.
