Community Employment Programme - Employment Assistance (CEP – EA)

Started in November 2011, CEP- EA is a 6-month interim community employment programme that aims to help low-income North East residents who are looking for a job, to earn some allowance while they continue with their job search.
For job seekers who have not been working for some time, this temporary work experience can provide them the platform to refresh their skills. CEP-EA hopes to help job seekers who are facing challenges in securing a job, recover their self-confidence and self-esteem by offering them interim employment.

While these jobseekers are placed in CEP-EA, the relevant employment agencies will continue to assist them to secure suitable permanent employment. CEP positions include job positions such as Mobile Library Assistant and Café Corner Assistant.
